PRODUCT LISTING STANDARDS #

These Product Listing Standards (“Standards”) apply to all sellers on the Kingston Express platform. Sellers must ensure that all listings are accurate, compliant, and safe for buyers. Failure to meet these Standards may result in listing removal, account suspension, or termination.

1. LISTING ACCURACY REQUIREMENTS #

Sellers must ensure that:

✔ Product titles, descriptions, images, and attributes accurately represent the item
✔ Item conditions are correctly declared (new, used, refurbished)
✔ Variations (size, color, quantity) are correctly labeled
✔ No false or misleading claims are made
✔ The product received matches the listing exactly

Not allowed:

❌ Mislabeling or miscategorizing items
❌ Descriptions that exaggerate or mislead
❌ Using competitor trademarks in text

2. PROHIBITED & RESTRICTED CATEGORIES (MANDATORY CHECK) #

All listings must comply with:

Prohibited Items List
Age-Restricted Product Categories
Hazmat / Dangerous Goods Policy

Listings that fall into prohibited categories will be removed automatically.

Listings in restricted categories must follow category-specific rules and age verification requirements.

3. PRODUCT TITLES STANDARDS #

Product titles must be:

✔ Clear and accurate
✔ Not keyword-stuffed
✔ Not misleading
✔ In sentence case (not ALL CAPS unless branding requires it)

Format example:
Brand + Model + Key Feature + Quantity/Size

Not allowed:

❌ Excessive punctuation
❌ Emojis
❌ ALL CAPS
❌ Promotional phrases (“BEST PRICE!!!”)

4. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION STANDARDS #

Descriptions must include:

✔ Accurate specifications
✔ Materials or ingredients
✔ Dimensions or size
✔ Safety instructions (if applicable)
✔ Age restrictions (where required)

Not allowed:

❌ False claims (“FDA Approved” unless legally documented)
❌ Medical claims (“cures”, “treats”, etc.)
❌ Illegal comparison statements
❌ Unsupported performance claims

5. IMAGE STANDARDS #

Images must:

✔ Be clear, high-resolution, and professional
✔ Show the actual product
✔ Have a plain background for main images
✔ Show variations accurately
✔ Not contain watermarks or competitor branding

Not allowed:

❌ Stock images that don’t match item
❌ Offensive or graphic content
❌ Promotional overlays (“SALE!”)
❌ Logos from other brands

6. VARIATION (CHILD SKU) RULES #

Variations can only include:

✔ Size
✔ Color
✔ Style
✔ Material
✔ Quantity

Each variation must genuinely represent a different version of the product.

Not allowed:

❌ Grouping unrelated items
❌ Using variations to manipulate search rankings

7. PRICING & FAIR DEALING RULES #

Sellers must:

✔ Set honest and non-manipulative pricing
✔ Avoid excessive shipping fees
✔ Honor listed prices once purchased

Not allowed:

❌ Price gouging
❌ Manipulating strike-through prices
❌ Misleading discounts

8. INVENTORY REQUIREMENTS #

Sellers must:

✔ Only list items they have in stock
✔ Keep quantities updated
✔ Remove discontinued items

Not allowed:

❌ Ghost inventory
❌ Listing items that cannot be shipped in time

9. SAFETY & COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS #

Applies especially for:

Electronics
Children’s products
Tools
Chemicals
Cosmetics
Health items

Sellers must provide:

✔ Safety instructions
✔ Compliance labels
✔ Certifications (when required)

10. BRAND & IP PROTECTION RULES #

Sellers must:

✔ List only items they are authorized to sell
✔ Provide proof of authenticity when requested

Not allowed:

❌ Counterfeit goods
❌ Knockoffs
❌ Unauthorized branded items
❌ Logo misuse

11. LISTING REFUSAL & REMOVAL #

Kingston Express reserves the right to:

✔ Remove listings that violate these standards
✔ Request documentation
✔ Suspend listing privileges
✔ Block high-risk sellers
✔ Hold seller funds during investigation

12. AUTO-ENFORCEMENT DISCLAIMER #

Kingston Express may use automated systems to flag, block, or remove listings that violate these Standards, the Prohibited Items List, or the Age-Restricted Products Categories.
