This Seller Verification (Know Your Customer / Know Your Business) Policy (“Verification Policy”) sets out the requirements for verifying the identity and legitimacy of sellers operating on the Kingston Express platform.

This Policy applies to all third-party sellers and forms part of the Marketplace Seller Agreement and related platform policies.


1. PURPOSE #

Kingston Express conducts seller verification to:

  • Protect buyers and the Platform
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unlawful activity
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and risk-management obligations
  • Maintain trust and marketplace integrity

Failure to comply with this Policy may result in enforcement action.


2. WHO MUST BE VERIFIED #

All sellers must successfully complete verification:

  • Before listing or selling products, and
  • On an ongoing basis, as required by Kingston Express

Verification requirements may differ for:

  • Individual sellers
  • Registered businesses
  • High-risk categories or volumes

3. REQUIRED VERIFICATION INFORMATION & DOCUMENTS #

3.1 Individual Sellers (KYC) #

May be required to provide:

  • Full legal name
  • Date of birth
  • Government-issued photo identification
  • Residential address
  • Contact information
  • Bank or payout account details

3.2 Business Sellers (KYB) #

May be required to provide:

  • Registered business name
  • Business registration documents
  • Tax registration number (TRN) or equivalent
  • Registered address and operating address
  • Director(s), owner(s), or beneficial owner details
  • Authorized signatory identification
  • Business bank account details

3.3 Additional Information #

Kingston Express may request additional documentation where:

  • Required by law
  • Necessary to assess risk
  • Products or categories are regulated
  • Dispatchment services are used

4. VERIFICATION PROCESS #

Verification may involve:

  • Manual review
  • Automated checks
  • Third-party verification services

Kingston Express may:

  • Approve verification
  • Request additional information
  • Reject verification where requirements are not met

5. RE-VERIFICATION TRIGGERS #

Sellers may be required to re-verify where:

  • Account information changes
  • Ownership or control changes
  • Bank or payout details are updated
  • Seller performance or activity changes materially
  • Fraud, abuse, or policy violations are suspected
  • Periodic reviews are conducted

Failure to complete re-verification may result in account restrictions.


6. FALSE, INACCURATE, OR MISLEADING INFORMATION #

Providing false, inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete information is strictly prohibited.

Consequences may include:

  • Immediate suspension of selling privileges
  • Withholding of funds
  • Termination of seller account
  • Removal from Dispatchment Services
  • Reporting to relevant authorities where required by law

These actions may be taken without prior notice where risk is identified.


7. ONGOING MONITORING #

Kingston Express may conduct ongoing monitoring of sellers, including:

  • Transaction patterns
  • Performance metrics
  • Buyer complaints
  • Compliance with platform policies

Monitoring may be automated or manual and may result in requests for additional verification.


8. USE OF VERIFICATION INFORMATION #

Verification information is used solely to:

  • Verify seller identity and legitimacy
  • Manage platform risk
  • Comply with legal obligations

Handling of personal data is governed by the Privacy Notice.


9. FAILURE TO VERIFY #

If a seller fails to:

  • Complete initial verification, or
  • Complete re-verification when requested

Kingston Express may:

  • Restrict account functionality
  • Suspend listings
  • Delay or withhold payouts
  • Terminate the seller account

10. POLICY UPDATES #

This Verification Policy may be updated from time to time.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
